Identify the landing stage before planning a walk
Our sailing results use several station names, including Köln (Bastei) – Landebrücke 13, Köln Dom/Hbf. – Landebrücke 10 and Köln, Konrad-Adenauer-Ufer, Rhein River Company. These are not interchangeable meeting points. Open your selected sailing and use its precise departure point when arranging your journey. The operator’s booking confirmation is authoritative for your date.
The central station is only part of the journey
Arriving at the main railway station does not identify the ship you booked. Check the operator, landing-stage number and departure time together. Allow extra time to find your way along the waterfront. Groups should agree on a specific meeting point rather than simply meeting “by the river”, where several piers may be in use.
Choose one focus for your time ashore
The cathedral, old town and Rheinauhafen offer different interests: a landmark building, city streets or contemporary waterfront architecture. Choose one according to your available time. Before a fixed sailing, a short visit near the confirmed pier is easier to manage than a long walk that leaves you far from departure.
Check whether the trip returns to Cologne
A sailing from Cologne is not necessarily a round trip. Read the destination and establish whether you return to your starting point or finish somewhere else. For a one-way journey, arrange your onward travel from the destination before booking. The sailings below use current timetable data; the operator confirms availability and any operational changes.
Ask about access for your particular sailing
An accessible riverside path does not mean that every landing stage and vessel offers the same access. Ask the operator about your date, vessel and any assistance you need for a wheelchair or pushchair. Confirm bicycle carriage separately before booking. A station name alone cannot establish these arrangements.
